If you are looking for somewhere to go during your lunch break, we highly recommend visiting Renaissance Village in downtown Charleston. This historical area, between Summers Street and Capitol Street, houses some of Charleston’s favorite coffee houses and restaurants that are unique to the area. Whatever mood you are in for lunch, you will find it in the area; from fresh sushi at Ichiban to fried feta balls at Adelphias Sports Bar and Grille. When you get off work, wind down with a specialty beer at Pies and Pints or a Charleston-inspired martini at Bar 101. If you’re just looking for a way to pass time between meetings, wander around the shaded streets and into any one of the eclectic shops, boutiques or bookstores.
Renaissance Village is one exit away from the Wingate by Wyndham hotel, and a 5-10 minute drive depending on the local traffic. Our front desk is prepared to answer any of your questions about the area, give you directions and especially some recommendations of their favorite places to visit. We encourage you to spend some time in the Renaissance Village during your stay in Charleston to get a true feel for the city’s atmosphere and charm.
